I am looking for a Voice System Specialist to work as part of an
expanding IS team based in London. I am looking for candidates with
experience of building, specifying and operating voice telephony
systems.
Your responsibilities will be:
You will be involved in delivering voice telephony services from an
Information Systems perspective within SNS.
Ensuring that new systems and architectures supporting the voice
systems and services being built and operated within SNS conform to
the necessary high standards consistent with best practice.
Ensuring that voice systems are configured appropriately and documented.
Working closely with other teams within IS and teams within Network
Planning & Operations Dept taking responsibility for computer server
based technologies, advising and specifying appropriate architectures,
designs and operational procedures to deliver against the business
requirements.
Key Skills and Attributes:
I am looking for candidates with a proven track record gained in large
telecommunications business including Voice and IP Networks.
You must have an understanding of the regulatory issues faced in this area
A thorough understanding of mediation, from why it is needed to how it
works plus experience of mediation software packages, either bespoke
or standard packages.
An understanding of the relationships and reconciliation involved with
interconnect partners.
Ideally, experience in UNIX, basic programming, scripting.
